Wietly

Wietly is a social map for cannabis lovers. Find good places to light up, discover coffeeshops near you and see what your friends are smoking. Wietly is for adults (18+).

What it does

A community map of parks, benches and viewpoints, added and rated by users, with real photos
Coffeeshops nearby, with opening hours and photos
Restricted zones on the map, so you know where smoking isn't allowed
Check-ins with friends: tag friends, log your strain and follow a feed of what your friends are doing
Buds, XP and ranks: earn rewards for check-ins and new spots, climb the leaderboard and unlock profile items in the store

How it's built

Expo and React Native (New Architecture) for iOS, Android and the web
Mapbox for the map, spots and restricted zones
Supabase: Postgres with row-level security, auth, storage and Edge Functions for push notifications, translations and scheduled jobs
TanStack Query for data fetching and caching, PostHog for analytics
A Next.js website with shareable spot, check-in and invite pages
